In the night
The dark. To most it represents fear, pain, and suffering. To me, the dark embodies the numerous possibilities that lie in the future. It is a place of serenity, rest, and hope. Growing up, I associated the dark with peace and a space for self-reflection. The overwhelming presence of the dark leaves individuals to revel in their own thoughts, confront their problems and accept their truth. However, the minimal presence of light allows individuals to believe in the possibility for something more. It inspires people to believe in hope and dare to dream.
Throughout my short sixteen years of life on this earth I have learned a few things. With life there is good in the bad, bad in the good, hope in moments of crisis or despair, and light in the dark.
